About Me
editor/writer
I've always been driven by my devotion to the written word and seek to apply both my passion and knowledge to the world around me. I am a graduate of the 2021 Denver Publishing Institute with a certificate in Book Publishing, and of the University of Idaho with a double emphasis in English Literature and Professional Writing. I am currently pursuing the expansion of my portfolio, learning new skills and building upon my existing strengths.
My work on the editorial board and in layout and design for the literary magazines: Trestle Creek Review and Vandalism, have yielded polished, professional work that illustrate my drive toward perfection. This is echoed by the high standard for quality demonstrated by my academic and technical writing work. I have experience in various positions within office administration, though my work ethic extends much further than simple task accomplishment. In the workplace I am organized and efficient, and maintain a positive and calm attitude in the face of adversity and setbacks. |
I offer freelance editing skills for a variety of projects. I have experience proofreading and copyediting academic papers for university students including history, literary analysis, and art analysis, as well as creative writing including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and experimental prose. I have experience working in an SEO capacity on the job, maintain a growing list of technical documents, and learn more every day.
I've also spent some time with layout and design, editing for my colleges' publications and working with web design. Most recently, I am working to build my editing portfolio and sharpen new skills. You can find my resume here or find me on LinkedIn. My Clifton Strengths are: Restorative | Learner | Intellection | Empathy | Achiever |
When I'm not working or spending time with my family, I love to read and write and often relax by challenging myself with a new knitting pattern.
